Delete Your FixHive Account

You can permanently delete your account and the personal data associated with it.

If you no longer wish to use FixHive, you can request that we delete your account and the personal information associated with it. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Heads up: Deleting your account will end any in-progress service requests, cancel pending bids, and remove your access to past invoices and payment history within the app.

Option 1 — Delete in the App (Fastest)

If you can still sign in to FixHive, the quickest way to delete your account is directly from the app:

  1. Open the FixHive app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Account tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Enter your password to confirm. Your account and personal data will be deleted immediately.

Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app — for example, you have already uninstalled it, lost access to your sign-in email, or no longer have a compatible device — you can request deletion by emailing us.

Send an email to support@fixhiveapp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:

  • The email address associated with your FixHive account
  • The phone number on the account, if you remember it
  • A brief confirmation that you are the account holder requesting deletion

So we can verify the request, please send the email from the same email address registered on your account. We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

When we process your deletion request, we will permanently remove:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and password
  • Your profile photo and home address
  • Your service request history, photos you uploaded, and messages you sent
  • Your saved service preferences and notification tokens
  • If you registered as a vendor: your business profile, service areas, and the link to your Stripe Express account on our system

What May Be Retained

Some information may be retained in a limited form after account deletion, only where required for legitimate business or legal reasons. This includes:

  • Transaction records: Records of completed payments and invoices, retained as required by tax, accounting, and financial recordkeeping laws.
  • Anonymized data: Aggregated, de-identified usage data that can no longer be linked to you.
  • Fraud prevention: A minimal record (such as a hashed identifier) may be kept to prevent abuse, such as repeated account creation after a ban.
  • Legal obligations: Information we are legally required to retain (for example, to comply with a court order or to resolve a pending dispute).

Payment data processed by our payment provider, Stripe, is governed by Stripe's own retention and deletion policies, which you can review at stripe.com/privacy.

Timeline

In-app deletions take effect immediately. Email-based deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. After processing, your data is removed from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe; routine backups containing your data are overwritten on our standard backup rotation.
